At-a-Glance:
Are you ready to build your career by joining a healthcare provider? If so, our client is hiring MRI Tech (Day).
What You'll Do:
  • Performs a variety of MRI and MRA procedures
  • Patient safety protocols and assists the Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Patients professionally and function as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishments of imaging needs.
  • Performs all necessary checks of diagnosis, prescription, precertification, Epic order, and patient identification as demonstrated by documentation.
  • Greets patients--confirming identifications performing the correct procedures as directed and completely explaining the procedure to patient and family as directed.
  • Obtains patient history, screens patients for all surgeries and implanted items, explains procedures, gains consent for contrast and verifies GFR as needed, and addresses patient concerns as demonstrated by documentation and feedback.
  • Place Angio-catheters, inject IV MRI contrast agents as directed by the Radiologist. Monitors the patient’s status, tolerance, and wellbeing throughout the study
  • Operates the MRI scanner and all RF coils, MRI workstations, patient monitoring equipment and MR injectors to produce high quality images. Archive, verify and film MRI images to hard-copy format as needed.
  • Performs quality assurance testing consistent with section protocols.
  • Compliance with OSHA, TJC, DOH and other mandated safety procedures or regulations.
  • Maintains necessary inventory supplies for assigned workstation, rotating stock in an orderly fashion and eliminating outdated items.
  • Responds to emergency situations according to department policies.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships and partnerships within the facility and with outside customers.
  • Calls in results of STATS and other cases as determined by the Radiologist and department policy
  • Communicate equipment problems and image quality issues
What You Bring:
  • Graduated from an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • MRI
  • Must be registered by ARRT, ARDMS, RDMS, RVT, RDCS, RMSKS OR NMTCB and/ or ART MRI certified
  • Must maintain CE credits for certification
  • Must be ARRT with MRI registry
Must Have:
  • Equipment experience: Siemens Magnetom Sola 1.5 & Vida 3T.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Attributes: Able to work in high volume setting, adaptable to change. team player, patient focused.
  • Knowledge of MRI equipment and injector.
  • Excellent patient care skills.
  • Knowledge of the safety guidelines for MR.
  • Work independently while following the protocols.
  • Working knowledge of an EMR, PACS and RIS systems.
  • Practice critical thinking skills and act quickly in an emergency.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders, including radiologists, coworkers, other departments and other DCR.
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM / 40 hours/week No weekends, No evenings.
