Who We Are Looking For:
Populous is currently seeking a versatile motion graphics designer to enhance our team. We are in search of an individual capable of infusing their creativity and innovative ideas into our projects. Our ideal candidate possesses a diverse skill set encompassing design, animation, storytelling, video editing, and a profound appreciation for cinema.
We require an individual adept at transforming concepts into compelling visuals within tight deadlines. The ideal candidate thrives in various aspects of video production, including Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, Compositing, 2D and 3D Animation, as well as video shooting, editing, and sound design. Your role will involve delivering imaginative solutions and maintaining a commitment to excellence. While autonomy is sometimes necessary, collaboration within our dynamic team is paramount. We excel in extracting narratives from both our clients and internal designers, transforming them into captivating and innovative productions.
What Your Day Could Consist Of:
- Attend internal team and external client meetings
- Develop initial creative ideas, mood boards, style frames, scripts and storyboards.
- Produce a broad array of still renderings, animations and video content.
- A great understanding of visual communication and storytelling.
- Have a very good standard of English, both spoken and written.
- Understand deadlines may occasionally require work beyond a typical 40-hour week.
Requirements For Success:
- Technical proficiency in After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and 3d software such as C4D, 3DS MAX, or Blender.
- Must understand the fundamentals of animation, composition, and storytelling.
- Create stunning visuals to accompany written scripts or creative briefs.
- Present concepts and work both internally and to clients.
- Keep up with new design styles.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to different people, situations and changing priorities with grace and flexibility as well as demonstrating an appropriate sense of urgency.
Essential Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in graphic design, motion graphics, animation, or a related field.
- Proven work history in an office or similar environment.
- 1-5 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of REVIT (BIM) preferred.
- Knowledge of rendering software such as V-Ray, Redshift, Lumion or Enscape preferred.
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 software.
- Knowledge of Photography and Videography with DSLR camera.
Additional details:
- Travel may be required.
- Occasional overtime may be required
