Job description

This new Video Production Specialist is part of Corporate Communications & Marketing, and will be a member of the Shaw Media Lab, our in-house video production team. The Media Lab is a high-performing team charged with showcasing our products, promoting our company, and informing our associates. The Video Production Specialist uses professional video production tools to create digital content that showcases our products, promotes our company, and informs our associates. The Video Production Specialist will spend most of their time editing new video content or repurposing existing footage for new projects.

You will work collaboratively with Digital Media Producers from the Media Lab to define the creative vision for video projects. Produced videos will be shared on channels that include the company’s intranet, social media channels, brand-specific websites, and directly with targeted audiences.

This professional must be highly organized, a self-starter, and able to juggle multiple projects at once. Candidate must have a ‘can do’ attitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

Video Editing:

  • Edits and delivers quality video content using professional video editing applications (including Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Responsible for quick turnaround video requests that target customers and leverage existing marketing materials, ensuring the final product is on-brand and on-message.
  • Clearly communicates key messages and understands brand tone and voice.
  • Efficiently plans and executes multiple video projects at a time.

Digital Asset Management:

  • Manages both raw footage, produced content, and digital assets to ensure proper workflows for production and archiving.
  • Manages a b-roll footage archive and coordinates sharing of video assets.
  • Act as an assistant editor, adjust footage, sync and prepare editing projects within Premier for access by team members, including Digital Media Producers.

Production Assistant:

  • Supports production crew members including camera operations, grip/electrical, audio crew, and other crew members.
  • Assist Digital Media Producers with creative and technical decisions relating to lighting, camera movement, and other elements that enhance production value, both in Shaw’s studios and on location shoots.
  • Assists with acquisition and maintenance of video production equipment including cameras, grip/electrical equipment, audio equipment, digital media, etc.

Motion Graphics

  • Incorporating typography, visual effects, and sound design to enhance the overall impact and engagement of motion graphic content
  • Use Motion Graphics/imagery/animations that enhance Shaw’s media projects and campaigns.
  • Utilizing video software, such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D, to design and execute captivating motion graphic projects

Requirements

  • 2 years experience working as a professional videographer.
  • Exceptional editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Understanding of digital tools and enablement technologies that help support business outcomes.
  • A strong eye for detail, design, composition, and creative critical thinking
  • Experience on Adobe platforms (specifically, Adobe Premiere and After Effects) preferred.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Arts, Communications, or related fields

Candidates must be in our around the Dalton, GA area with the ability to come into the office.
