Mother's Helper - Nanny/Caretaker Hybrid Role

We are looking for a Mother's Helper or Nanny/Caretaker to help care for all aspects of our home and family needs. The schedule will be Monday – Thursday from 2:00-6:00 pm daily for a total of 16 hours per week.

The primary day-to-day Mother's Helper or Nanny/Caretaker duties include but are not limited to:

• Running errands (e.g. dry cleaning, groceries, picking up prescriptions, mailing packages, vehicle service appointments, etc.)
• Laundry – washing, folding, and ironing
• Transportation of the two young children after school/to extracurriculars
• Assistance with kids after school
• Ensuring the house stays organized and tidy (e.g., putting toys away)
• Deep cleaning specific areas/items/appliances as needed (e.g., oven, fridge, fireplace screens, tile grout, silver pieces, etc.)
• Handling simple house maintenance (e.g., changing air filters/light bulbs, replacing batteries, etc.)
• Light cleaning as necessary in between visits from the cleaning service (e.g., vacuuming dog hair, taking out trash, etc.)
• Watering indoor and outdoor potted plants
• Meal preparation (e.g., washing and chopping vegetables)
• Monitoring grocery items getting low/stocking the pantry
• Petcare as necessary
• Additional childcare as necessary

The ideal Mother's Helper or Nanny/Caretaker would be punctual, honest, organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and have clear and effective communication. The Mother's Helper or Nanny/Caretaker should be proactive in noticing things that need to be addressed or maintained around the home. The Family Manager must be excellent with children and pets. The pay will be $20/hour on payroll or $12.50/hour cash, your choice. The best candidate will pass a background check and reference check, be tobacco and drug-free, have a valid driver’s license, and be CPR/First Aid certified. We are looking for a LONG-TERM commitment; please do not apply if you do not have the ability to work for us for an extended period of time.
