We're hiring a Mortgage Servicing Specialist II to join our Team.
Input new mortgage loans to the JH system and verify accurate escrow amounts of new mortgage loans.
Perform mortgage investor activities, including reporting, remittance, file maintenance, quality control, custodial accounting
Coordinate quality control of mortgage and escrow documents scanned in Synergy
Perform daily and monthly loan settlements and reconcilements for FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and FHLB loans.
Daily settlements on Escrow general ledger and private mortgage insurance (PMI) general ledger.
Monitor and maintain Tax Reports received from LERETA Tax Services
Coordinate and maintain escrow activities and disburse mortgage escrow
Maintain and disburse payment for quarterly and yearly tax bills.
Activate PMI for newly boarded loans
Maintain and disburse monthly payments to PMI companies
Process requests for the removal of PMI based on regulatory and agency requirements
Understand and analyze complex escrow issues like handling tax shortages due to increases in homeowners’ insurance and taxes.
Research payment information with tax authorities when refunds are necessary
Assist with implementing and completion of the annual escrow analysis process
Understand and process loan recast requests
Process the addition and removal of escrow based on investor guidelines
Respond to telephone and email request for mortgage escrow information for internal and external customers and handle annual escrow analysis statement questions
Fund mortgages sold to investors via Jack Henry and maintain Excel spreadsheet for reporting purposes
Support insurance claim process with customer and branch staff inquiries
Respond to telephone requests for consumer and mortgage loan information for internal and external customers through the telephone hunt group
Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct
Perform additional duties as required
HOURS: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years bank loan operations experience or equivalent required related education and experience
Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication, and telephone skills
Understanding of mortgage loan documents and processing (including escrow)
Ability to read and comprehend loan documents and translate into appropriate computer servicing system coding
Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere, organize, prioritize and enter data quickly and accurately to meet deadlines, including end of month activity
General understanding of bank accounting practices and loan accounting computations
Strong knowledge of Freddie Mac/ Fannie Mae, VA, FHA, GNMA and FHLB investor reporting and remittance
Advanced PC, Word, Excel skills, Ground Control, BlackLine, Jack Henry and Encompass a plus
