Position: Mortgage Loan Processor
Location: Centris Headquarters (132nd & Pacific Street)
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
General Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Centris Federal Credit Union in our mission to be a trusted life-long financial partner. This position provides operational support to the Mortgage Services business line by preparing loans for closing to ensure a successful home purchase or refinance for the member.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Promote and model the Centris Vision, Mission, Values and Team Principles.
- Provide unparalleled service to both internal and external members in accordance with the Centris Service Promises.
- Create and/or develop relationships with internal and external members, vendors and other parties.
- Provide operational support to the Mortgage Services business line to ensure every aspect of our members’ business is completed efficiently and effectively to support an unparalleled service experience.
- Assist Mortgage Service Representatives with Compliance, Regulatory changes and Investor Guidelines.
- Analyze Mortgage Loan applications and prepare loans for closing by ensuring all underwriting conditions have been met. Key elements are accuracy and completeness of all records for a successful loan closing of a home purchase or refinance.
- Review and evaluate all documentation to ensure loan falls within acceptable internal, external, and regulatory guidelines. To include, but not limited to, CFPB, Flag Star, DU, MI, FHA, and VA.
- Knowledge of regulatory rules to insure proper timing and documents for disclosure.
- Monitor and track all documentation requirements and resolve any minor complications that arise prior to closing. Duties include reviewing of Purchase Agreements, DU Findings along with the Title work and ordering VOE and VODs from third parties.
- Timely follow up with borrowers to collect all needed documentation.
- Verify that all underwriting conditions have been satisfied. Track and review final settlement statement and communicate with all parties involved in the closing of the loan.
- Ensure all Credit Union assets related to the loan are safeguarded and prepare closing documents in accordance with regulations.
- Understand and interpret information regarding Purchase Money files and transactions. To include by not limited to, realtors, title agents and insurance agents.
- Co-ordinate closings with all interested parties.
Job Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- One-year financial experience
- Two or more years of mortgage experience preferred.
