JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the Mortgage Loan process from application to closing. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to navigate complex financial documents will ensure the timely and accurate processing of mortgage applications.

Essential Functions

1. Review and analyze Mortgage Loan applications for completeness and accuracy

2. Collect and verify applicant financial documents, including income statements, tax returns, and credit reports.

3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the loan processing pipeline.

4. Coordinate with third-party vendors, such as appraisers and title companies, to facilitate property appraisals and title searches.

5. Prepare loan files for underwriting review and address any outstanding conditions or documentation requests.

6. Maintain accurate and organized loan files and documentation in accordance with company standards.

7. Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This position is full-time. Must be able to work Monday through Friday during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or similar role in the mortgage lending industry.

Proficiency in Mortgage Loan origination software and systems (e.g., Encompass, Calyx Point, DU, LPA).

NMLS License a plus.
