Essential Functions:- Performs all tasks and duties required to originate residential loans: guides applicants through the mortgage lending process. Tasks and duties include but are not limited to pre-qualifying applicants, calculating and quoting brokered loan rates, working with processors, underwriter, and closer to obtain all required documentation, keeping all parties apprised status of loan requests.
- Establishes and maintains a network of realtors, builders, bank partners, and other centers of influence lending programs.
- Continuously identify, develop and maintain a quality of network relationships that will serve as a recurring source of referral opportunities.
- Responds to and resolves internal and external customer inquiries.
- Monitors changes in loan programs offered by the bank and its investors.
- Attends workshops, seminars, and meetings as required.
- Conducts training for potential applicants as requested by realtors.
- Adheres to SAFE Act requirements when acting as a Mortgage Loan (MLO).
- Performs all work in compliance with applicable regulations/policies and procedures.
- Accountable for the understanding of and adherence to operational controls, policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with bank policies and related laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated sales ability.
- Demonstrated understanding of mortgage processing, underwriting and closing procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of lending basics and terminology (loan to values, debt ratios, rules and regulations, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of residential lending processes, products, and programs (Conv/FHA/VA).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Maintain registration with the federal registry system (NMLS) and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements, which includes maintaining the unique identifier number if acting as an (MLO).
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to distill and convey information in a compelling manner.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum 2-4 years residential Real Estate lending experience.
