Join the Savers Bank team as a Mortgage Loan Originator! In this role you will prospect and nurture leads to achieve sales targets, leverage partnerships to generate referrals, guide applicants through the mortgage process with exceptional service, and ensure proper documentation and compliance from prequalification to closing, completing and providing initial disclosures, including the Loan Estimate, per regulations per regulations and standards.



We seek 5+ years of experience in residential lending or sales, proven success meeting targets, networking and relationship-building skills, and expertise guiding customers through the mortgage process. An expert understanding of lending products and regulations is required. This is a full-time position offering a base pay with commission and a flexible schedule to accommodate potential customers outside traditional hours.   • Prospect and secure new residential mortgage business through lead generation, referrals, and networking.
  • Develop relationships with borrowers and guide them through the mortgage process.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets. Identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain expertise in lending regulations and products.
  • Assist with loan applications, collect documentation, and ensure smooth approval process.
  • Participate in community outreach and events.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the bank positively.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in loan origination or a similar sales role within the banking or financial services industry with experience disclosing loan estimates..
  • Strong understanding of secondary market plus various federal and state mortgage programs and products.
  • Strong understanding of lending products, loan processing, and underwriting procedures.
  • Demonstrated success leading business strategy development with centers of influence partnering with experience in building relationships to help deliver improved service and innovation to the customer.
  • Expertise in team member excellence with strong interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to work effectively with members of organizational boards, colleagues, business partners, prospects, and community stakeholders.
  • Must be available for flexible schedule. Must be available for potential customers during non-traditional hours.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Keen ability to understand home lending challenges and suggest bank products to help resolve issues.
  • Expertise in networking, marketing, and targeted outreach.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner including presentations and public speaking.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously utilizing exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking skills while ensuring complete follow-up.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual helpful
  • Valid driver's license



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly travels to and conducts sales presentations to prospects and customers.
  • Regularly speaks and listens to customers/prospects and explains bank services.
  • Eye coordination required to operate computer terminal.
  • Hand dexterity required to operate computer terminal and/or related equipment.
  • Regularly moves around bank, between levels or floors while performing duties.
  • Often lifts supply boxes and places in storage areas.
  • Regularly stands for long periods of time.
  • Often sits for periods of time.
  • Frequently walks around bank and business locations in the performance of job duties.
  • Infrequently lift up to 50 lbs.
