Responsibilities:
- Evaluate loan applications and determine the creditworthiness of applicants
- Review financial documents, such as income statements and credit reports, to assess the risk level of loans
- Assist clients in selecting the most suitable loan products based on their financial goals and needs
- Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with underwriters to ensure loans meet all necessary guidelines and requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and concerns
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and changes in lending practices
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in the financial industry
- In-depth knowledge of TILA (Truth in Lending Act), escrow, contracts, and underwriting processes
- Familiarity with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations
- Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively communicate loan options to clients
- Excellent mathematical skills and proficiency in 10-key typing
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial documents
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
