SUMMARY
The Mortgage Clerk position will support the daily administration of USDA Rural Development Voucher Program (RDVP) activities, including communication with tenants and owners, letter generation and document review, data, and document entry, and NFAOC Report review and quality assurance activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Issue Vouchers utilizing the Voucher Administration Workflow System (VAWS), issue vouchers in the amount specified by RD, unless adjusted.
Prepare the RDAP Contracts in accordance with the RDVP Guide.
Administrative duties, such as Data Entry, Imaging Documents, Sort/Scan Incoming Mail.
Research accounts and provide resolution.
Investigate and follow up on unauthorized assistance cases.
Work and import correspondence in the Electronic Customer File.
Provides customer service support regarding voucher processing status via email and phone.
Responds to phone calls, voicemails, status calls and emails.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Possesses knowledge of the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 transaction processing.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent customer service skills with ability to represent company in a positive and competent manner.
Solid organization skills relevant to carrying out day-to-day responsibilities with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Extremely detail-oriented with ability to quickly grasp business needs and issues.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment toward the successful achievement of goals.
Excellent computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, Access, Word and Outlook).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to twenty-five pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to fifty pounds. Works near moving mechanical parts. Regularly exposed to general office and general office machinery noise. May be exposed to warehouse, truck or forklift noise.
