Montessori Teacher

Job Summary

Educational/Training Requirements:

* Lead Montessori Teacher / Co-Teacher : Montessori training certificate for the Teacher position.

* ASSISTANT TEACHER : 6 units w/current enrollment in or 12 early childhood education units.

ECE classes.

* Need CPR certification, LiveScan, preventative medical training, valid driver's license, by the first day work at school.

*Immunization record and Clear TB test within one year of start date, current flu shot.

* Document proving any day care center work experience.

Work Schedule: School hours are 8:00am-6:30pm, Monday-Friday, Part Time and Full Time positions are available.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to relate to children in a positive and constructive manner.

2. Ability to lead children to receive their cooperation without relying on positional authority.

3. Ability to lift and carry approximately 40 lbs in an emergency situation.

4. An abundance of patience and love and child centered philosophy. Enthusiastic, motivated individuals who enjoy working with preschool and kindergarten children are encouraged to apply.

The directress will: 1. Create and execute individual lesson plans, and prepare daily circle time activities.2. Plan, prepare, and execute crafts, art projects, and monthly group science activities. 3. Maintain and supervise the order, preparation, and cleanliness of the educational materials and the classroom environment with an assistant teacher.4. Share the responsibility for the constructive and supportive parent relations to facilitate their sense of security and trust in the school. Prepare for and conduct parent-teacher conferences.5. Accept the responsibility for the safety and physical well being of the children placed in their care.
