The Monitor Tech’s primary functions are to monitor, report, and document the cardiac rhythm of Critical Care and Telemetry adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The work is performed in compliance with the established policiesof the health care system and reflects the philosophy of the hospital as well as the mission of the department of nursing.

Job Description
Observe and examine the heart monitors of various patients and detecting and reporting on abnormalities and inconsistencies, such as irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia.
Additional Job Description
Education: High School Degree or GED required
Experience: Some previous computer knowledge/use with adequate typing skills, experience with basic arrhythmia and/or comparable experience.
License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
