Your role
Demonstrates through behavior AdventHealth’s Core Values of Quality & Service Excellence, Community Well-Being, High Ethical Standards, Stewardship, and Inclusiveness; as outlined in the organization’s Professional Practice Model.
- Performs properly and legibly documents in accordance with department policy. Documents in telemetry logbook.
- Continuously observes monitors.
- Recognizes and documents normal EKG patterns. Recognizes abnormal patterns and notifies nursing staff promptly. Maintains telemetry printout during cardiac arrest and as indicated.
- Maintains monitor alarms per policy. Verifies that monitor alarms are set and audible every shift. Troubleshoots monitors as needed.
- Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities. Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring of activities as needed. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
- Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs handwashing according to policy and enforces safety regulations.
- Exhibits desire to learn and upgrade skills. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit.
- If in a clinical setting or have patient contact, include reference to the age of patients served age/years.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Successfully complete Virtual Patient Observation training.
- Monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology
- Computer and typing skills
- Organizational skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
