The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center, and Texas Children’s Hospital.

Expectations:

• Monitor physical and emotional recovery of new mothers

• Support mothers needs directly after delivery

• Educate new parents on how to properly care for their baby including breast feeding, bottle feeding, and bathing

• Provide direct care to antepartum and surgical patients

• Assist physicians with newborn procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Active Registered Nurse Licensure by the Texas Board of Nursing
• Mandatory Reporter Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training completed within 30 days of start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS
• NRP

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
