RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in set up and operation of DISA and Hunter mold machines.
- Set cores as needed.
- Inoculate iron as needed.
- Install pattern per molding schedule.
- Setting DISA and Hunter machine parameters.
- Fill out Production Sheet with required information.
- Be able to train and assist new operators.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly.
- Work in a team environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand/walk 8 hours per shift. Frequent bend, stoop, twist. Occasionally squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, and push/pull. Frequently lift and carry up to 20 lbs.; occasionally 20-50 lbs. Must be able to do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in an environment that is noisy and includes exposure to dust, solvents, grease, oil, and sparks. Must be able to tolerate high degree of heat. Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic. Must be able to walk up and down stairs and ladders.
NON-PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Understand basic math, including fractions and decimals. Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities and aptitude. Must be able to listen to and understand verbal instructions. Must be able to remember, reason, and analyze. Requires lock out/tag out training (provided by employer).
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
- Handheld tools including but not limited to grinders, hoists, various inspection gauges, scraper, pipe wrench.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
