Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mohs Technician to join our team in Hazard, KY. As a Mohs Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting dermatologists with the surgical removal of skin cancers using the Mohs micrographic surgical technique. Your responsibilities will include preparing tissue samples, processing slides, performing laboratory work, and providing support during Mohs surgery procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissue samples and process slides for examination under the microscope.
• Assist dermatologists during Mohs surgery procedures by providing technical support.
• Perform laboratory tasks such as staining, cutting, and mounting tissue samples.
• Maintain accurate records of patient specimens and test results.
• Follow proper safety and infection control protocols in the laboratory.
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) is required.
• Prior experience working in a dermatology or Mohs surgery setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.
