Form of workPerforms safe patient handling including patient transfer, ambulation, mobility and patient care working independently, as part of a pair, and/or part of a team with nursing and therapy staff. Safe patient handling will include utilization of mechanical equipment to accomplish high risk transfers, as well as, associated equipment maintenance, inventory, and accessibility. Performs assigned duties under the direct on site supervision of therapy and/or nursing staff. Works to promote the culture of mobility with patients, patient’s families, and treatment team.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Must receive BCLS certification within orientation period.
Experience: No experience required.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability and willingness to work with all patients in a fast-paced environment.
