The technologist will utilize positioning skills to produce clear, reliable images for screening and diagnostic mammograms.
Operates mammography equipment, as well as, x-ray equipment and film processors.
Operates ultrasound equipment to produce high quality breast sonograms, guides diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
Operates breast core biopsy equipment, guides and facilitates galactography, needle localization and fine needle aspiration procedures.
Performs and correctly documents technical aspects of QA/QC program for mammography.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification, ARRT (R) is required.
- MQSA qualified.
- Candidate must be registered in Mammography ARRT (M) within one year of employment.
- One year experience in mammography is preferred.
