JBS Logistics & Warehousing is looking for a Forklift Mechanic to join our Warehouse team in Naperville, IL
Who are you?
The forklift Mechanic's primary responsibility is to perform regular service, maintenance, and repair work on 150+ pieces of equipment. This involves working with hydraulic systems, maintaining electrical systems, and checking for structural problems. Forklift mechanics will develop and follow a scheduled maintenance plan to troubleshoot issues as they occur, maintain an inventory of spare parts, and generally work to ensure mechanical problems affect warehouse operations as rarely as possible.
Hours: Flexible between 7am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime
Compensation: $32-$35 per hour, depending on experience
Travel: Frequent travel to the necessary locations(Bolingbrook, Naperville, Aurora) and perform diagnostic checks on equipment/repair as needed.

What does this job look like daily?
- Serve as a representative of the Company, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the Koch community, customers, and the public
- Work safely at all times by adhering to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Troubleshoot forklift problems including but not limited to brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues, and/or malfunctions.
- Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
- Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to being released back to the work floor.
- Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety
- Maintain parts inventory and repair records for all equipment by completing accurate paperwork.
- Perform preventative maintenance and PM tracking on all equipment.
- Must be able to work safely, utilize proper protective equipment, and understand the concept of Lockout/Tagout.
- Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must complete and pass a background check and drug test
- At least 2 years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education.
- Ability to utilize a computerized work order system to open new work orders and check work history.
- Knowledge of reading schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to safely operate drills, grinders, presses, forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, and personal hand tools.
- Ability to draw upon available support resources from within the company and recognize when it is appropriate to do such.
