WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform essential maintenance, including DOT inspections on semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
- Dispense vehicle fuels and other essential fluids.
- Complete required forms and input required information into the fleet management information system in a timely manner.
- Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to: lubrication and oil changes; seat repair; brake, wheel, tire, and battery services; belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement.
- Perform basic to intermediate skill-level repair work on fleet vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to the alternator, starter, water pump replacement, and auxiliary equipment installation.
- Perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems.
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs for Semi Tractors and Trailers.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
- Performs tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform DOT-mandated safety inspections on fleet vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.

Fleet Mobile Maintenance serves several markets in the Southeast corridor of Michigan, including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Lansing, and Flint. We also have technicians serving customers in Indianapolis, Cleveland, Louisville, and Nashville.

Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- 5+ years of verified experience of Tractor-Trailer repair experience
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds
- Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing
- Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks
- Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
- Experience with welding
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Class A CDL
- Your own tools
