Stabilization/Mobile Crisis Practitioner in Mower County
Primary Responsibilities
Mobile Crisis Response provides immediate support for people who are experiencing a mental health crisis, the goal of services is to provide support and empower people in resolving the immediate crisis in a safe, health and effective manner. The Stabilization/Mobile Crisis Practitioner is a mental health practitioner with specialized training in crisis response. This individual provides assessment, intervention, and stabilization services to clients in the community who are in crisis. The Mobile Crisis worker will consult and take direction from the daytime mental health professional and will directly report to the Mobile Crisis Team Lead. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: provide mental health crisis stabilization services, provide community intervention services, prior to and upon meeting with the individual, the worker will gather pertinent referral information from the referral entity, on-call professional, ER personnel, collateral contacts, family members, and client, as appropriate. This position will provide service in Mower County and will have work space at Mower County Health and Human Services.
Education
Applicant must meet minimum qualifications of a Mental Health Practitioner
- Has completed coursework equaling 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in a behavioral science or related field, and
- Has at least 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders, and
- Has completed required trainings
- Has at least 4,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders
Wage
Wage Range of $21.00/hour to $ 24.00/ hour
