The Drug and Alcohol COLLECTOR is responsible for completing mobile collections to include, but are not limited to, urine sample collections, breathe alcohol testing, hair follicle testing, saliva testing and DNA testing.
This is a mobile position and the Collector works independently with minimal supervision. The Collector's appointments are scheduled by the branch office and the EMSI call center. This is an on call position, open availability is preferred. Position may include but not limited to evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position requires face to face interaction with donors, branch office personnel and employer representatives. The position requires face-to-face interaction with donors and applicants/participants.
Essential Functions:
Position requires excellent verbal and written communication in order to facilitate face-to-face interaction with customers to gather information which may be used to complete collections.
Process and ship specimens via major courier or delivery to labs within 24 hours of completion
Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
Must be comfortable using technology including tablets and other mobile devices
Must be comfortable traveling all hours of the day and night, possible up to 2 hours one way to cover a collection.
Process and distribute paperwork. Must have computer and scanner/email and or a fax to be able to distribute paperwork.
Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
Night Shifts will require collector to make and receive calls from the branch office and EMSI Call Center at all hours during the night.

Minimum Requirements:
6 months to 1 year of customer service experience
Professional attitude and appearance
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of DOT regulations
Drug testing experience
Applicants must pass and employment background check, a Security Threat Assessment, and a fingerprint based criminal history record check
Must be able to pass DOT and Homeland Security clearances in applicable government facilities
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
