Want to work at a safe, positive, food focused restaurant? Miss Kim Korean Restaurant, a part of Zingerman's Community of Businesses, is looking for front of house service staff!
Job Title: Server/Runner, Part-Time positions available, with availability of at least 3 shifts per week, including at least two dinner shifts betwee Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Availability on Fridays and Saturdays is highly preferred. Shifts are usually 10:30am-4pm, or 4pm-10pm. We are looking for someone who would have the ability to work at leas 20 hours a week, and possibly as many as 30 hours a week.
Compensation: $21-$23/hour (when tips are included). Also quarterly gainshare is possible if we exceed sales plan, and you have finished basic orientation.
We are looking for high energy individuals who are passionate about giving great service, learning about great food and engaging in their work! We offer flexible schedules, though weekend availability is a must, and the opportunity to work for a fun and exciting new Zingerman's business. Taking part in building the systems that run our day-to-day is expected from each member of our small team at Zingerman's Miss Kim Korean Restaurant.
Currently we are offering outdoor patio seating (when the weather is nice) and take-out options to all of our guests, as well as full service indoor dining!
All front of house staff start at $21-$23/hour based on experience and skill set. There is a $0.50/hr raise once finishing orientation. Our pay structure is clearly documented with opportunities for cross training and advancement.
Previous serving experience is preferred, but not required - experience as a salesperson, a barista, a bar-back or a background in theatre are encouraged to apply ! We ask that all applicants, regardless of experience, be ready to hit the ground running, be adaptable to a changing work environment and are encouraged to share your ideas with the team.

- Uses touch-screen delivery systems such as Grub Hub
Ability to multi-task
Uses Mac computer to update restaurant and menu information, daily

Keeps dining areas and workspaces neat and clean, according to the documented CDC guidelines
Carries the guests order to the table, double checking for accuracy
Can explain all ingredients in our dishes and knows the stories behind our food and beverages
Actively engages in learning about Korean food and culture
Answers guest questions and gets help when needed
Uses various equipment like electric tea pots, dishwashers, knives, and any others as training progresses
Positively responds to direction and does not shy away from requesting assistance from co-workers, supervisors, managers and guests
Replenishes products and supplies on the floor
Treats guests and co-workers with courtesy and respect
Makes eye contact and greets guests enthusiastically, from 6ft distance while wearing a mask
Does whatever it takes to make every guest's experience a great one
Utilizes time well by keeping busy and staying productive with restaurant sidework
Actively engages in documenting and updating standard operating procedures
Documents customer compliments, complaints and suggestions
Attends huddles and training classes as scheduled and required
Maintains safety protocols as outlined by CDC, Zingerman’s Community of Business and Miss Kim.
