This position is inside the bargaining unit.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-05 in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Specialized experience must includes at least two of the following:
- Review or proofread documents for conformance, format, or grammatical accuracy.
- Maintain and/or create records and files.
- Prepare documents, correspondence or reports using computer software programs.
- Communicate with customers through a variety of contact methods, e.g., email, telephone, in-person, web form inquiries.
- Assist with office support tasks such as maintaining a calendar and scheduling appointments, coordinating travel, or managing time and attendance.
- Assist with coordinating meetings, trainings, or seminars.
Selective Factor: Proficiency Requirement - In addition to meeting experience requirements, applicants must have a typing proficiency of 40 words per minute typing speed. You must have a certificate of proficiency from an organization authorized to issue such certificates or self-certify your proficiency.
Education:There is no education substitution at the GS-06 level.
