The Millwright-Maintenance Technician will inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain all mechanical production and equipment.
What You’ll Do:

• Inspects plant equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, unusual noises, insufficient lubrication, and RPMs.
• Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production and performs PM inspection and repairs.
• Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continues operation will have no harmful defect.
• Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles, and lubricates mechanical equipment.
• Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
• Makes either temporary or permanent repairs.
• Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, and shafts involving the application of press, sliding, and running files.
• Operates simple machine tools such as drill press, pipe cutting, threading machine, and power saws.
• Installs and repairs pipes, fittings, drains, and other pipefitting work relative to the trade.
• Erects scaffolds and performs simple rigging as necessary.
• Changes, sets up, and adjusts equipment as required by current operating conditions.
• Works with outside repair crews as directed on emergency breakdowns or installations.
• Keeps work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
• Receives instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done.

• One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must be available for overtime as production needs require
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
• Ability to frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
