Mill Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Rubber Mill Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, loading and cutting material from the Mill. Operator will be required to produce a high-quality rubber product according to company specifications and standards.
Primary Job Duties

• Set up and operate Rubber Mill.
• Load raw materials into machines and monitor material flow throughout the production process.
• Operate a razor blade to cut rubber from the Rubber Mill's rollers.
• Take cut material and roll it with hands and place the rolls by hand onto a pushcart.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and quality output
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Work hand in hand with lab technician to ensure mixing of rubber and we are running a quality product.
• Maintain a clean organized work area.
• Always follow safety protocols and guidelines.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)- Ex. GED
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must have at least 1 year of Experience Operating Heavy Machinery and Heavy Equipment.

• Previous experience operating rubber processing machinery preferred.
• Knowledge of rubber processing techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiar with using a Razor blade and other cutting tools.
• Able to stay focused and not easily distracted.
• Ability to maintain precision in cutting.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

• Safety Glasses
• Safety Shoes (Steel Toe or Composite Toe)
• Mill Glove with loose cuffs.
• Cut Resistant Sleeve

• Prolonged periods (10 hours) of standing and walking. This job is 95% standing/walking and 5% or less sitting.
• Must be able to grasp, adjust, pull, and mold items with your hands.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks, such as lifting climbing, stooping, standing, kneeling, pushing and/or pulling.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds at a time with little to no assistance.
• Employee may be frequently exposed to heat, humidity and cold (depending on the weather conditions).
• Frequent and constant exposure to load noise.
• Frequent exposure to hot moving parts.
• Frequent exposure to sharp tools/objects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to stay focused and not easily distracted.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with the team.

• This job requires frequent operation and exposure to heavy machinery and sharp tools, with a low to moderate risk of injury. Appropriate hazard control measures are in place to mitigate this risk.

• This job is physical in nature.
• This job is 4 days a week 10 hour shifts.
• OT may be requested as needed to complete orders.

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have access to reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must have the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Must always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Must be willing to Cross Train on other jobs with adequate training.

Pay:
$16.50/hour
Schedule:
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6am-4pm
2nd Shift: Monday -Thursday 4pm-2am
