Migration Specialist

We are on the lookout for a Migration and FileNet Implementation Specialist to join our team on a long-term project working with a US-based client. You will work with our Solutions Architects, Senior Developers and Project Managers to migrate content from the legacy OpenText application to Box, using VersaFile's product, DocuFlow for Integrations (DFI). Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in understanding IT infrastructure and technical migration methodologies.
Note: This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week remotely from home. Preference will be given to those who work in the Pacific Time Zone. Due to the nature of the client, you must already be a US citizen and be able to pass a background check.
What You'll be Doing:
- Support the analysis of existing client content structures, data and systems to develop sound migration strategies
- Work closely with the migration team to understand the customer requirements and process to ensure a successful transition of technical content and account set-up
- Create and execute detailed and complex content migration plans, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Extract, transform and migrate historical technical data from the legacy Opentext system to Box using D4I
- Participating in data validation processes and ensuring content quality control standards are adhered to
- Monitor and troubleshoot migration processes, ensuring there is minimal downtime and errors
- Conduct post-migration checks to ensure data integrity and resolve issues promptly
- Work within project timelines and requirements while maintaining a high standard of work to support the needs of the migration team and clients
- Identifying processes improvement and participate in solutions for these opportunities
- Report on key data migration metrics as needed
- Complete FileNet upgrade projects
Nice to Haves
- Experience writing Powershell Scripts and Java Applications
- Experience using Box
- General knowledge in using and navigating different ECM systems
- Azure & OpenShift Experience
- Complete UI Path bot development
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science
- US Citizen and able to pass a US Background Check
- 2-3 years experience working with ECM systems or in technical content migration
- Excellent business communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to work successfully in teams
- Strong analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Have a "go-getter" attitude - you are someone who doesn't sit back and wait but will actively seek out answers
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Motivated to learn and make an impact
Location
This is a remote position for someone living and working anywhere in the United States, but preferably on the West Coast within the Pacific Time Zone.
