Falmouth Athletics is seeking a candidate for the position of Middle School WrestlingHead Coach.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Falmouth Public Schools are located in three buildings on a 100-acre K-12 campus in Falmouth Maine, a coastal community bordering the city of Portland. Our campus features extensive fields, trails, gardens and hoop houses, and rich opportunities for collaboration between schools. Equally important is our commitment to ensuring that all members of our community feel known, respected and appreciated as we work to fulfill our District Mission: Navigating Creative Pathways to Courageous, Compassionate, and Fulfilling Lives.
Qualifications:
Interested candidates should have or be able to obtain the following: Maine State Fingerprinting, background check (run by the district), First Aid, CPR, AED, Concussion and suicide prevention training. Coaches will also have to pass the NFHS Coaching Principles course. Other training may be required at the request of the athletic director and/or district.
Additional:
The season will run from February 17, 2024 to April 1, 2024. This is a Winter Season II position.
Stipend amount = $2,160 (80 - 90 hrs est)

- Coordinate practice/game schedules, practice plans and management of the newly created Middle School Wrestling program.
- Create skill based practice plans that teach proper wrestling technique and safety
- Work with athletic director to create a long-term plan to start a Falmouth HS wrestling program.
