Middle School Substitute Teacher
The Shipley School seeks a qualified candidate for the position of occasional daily-hire Substitute Teacher to supervise classrooms in a variety of content areas, including: English, math, history, science, modern foreign languages, or Latin. While it is not assumed that the substitute will have expertise in these content areas, they should be proficient in classroom management. The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience teaching Middle School-aged students (grades 6, 7, 8) or high school ( 9,10,11,12).
- Maturity, collegiality, flexibility, humor
- Excellent speaking and communication skills
- 1-3 years of teaching experience preferred
- BA in Education or related field
