SIS is seeking an immediate hire for a Middle School Spanish Teacher. In this role, you will teach Spanish for Middle School (grades 6-8) and use a variety of teaching strategies to engage students in the target language and support their learning.

Develop students’ understanding of Spanish through a variety of engaging activities and assessments
Plan and instruct Spanish lessons that meet the needs of students at varying readiness levels
Facilitate a productive learning environment in the classroom
Display a love for and relate well to Middle School students
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
Support mutual curricular/instructional goals with the Lower School Spanish teacher.
Meet and communicate with students and parents regarding student growth in Spanish skills.
Participate in weekly faculty meetings about student growth in academics and character.
