We are currently looking for tutorial support candidates with:

• A current Texas teacher certificate is preferred 
• 3+ years of relevant teaching or tutoring experience in Reading or Math 
• Availability to tutor up to five (5) days per week for four (4) to six (6) hours per day 
• 2 to 3 references who can speak to your effectiveness as a classroom instructor, including a Principal or Assistant Principal.
• Experience with research-based instructional strategies and best practices that have been proven to increase student achievement
• Proven student results on district and state exams
• Flexibility and resourcefulness
• Experience with small group interventions
• Ability to collect, analyze, and utilize data to drive interventions
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff quickly
• Ability to teach in a variety of academic settings including one-on-one tutorials, group tutorials, as well as facilitate blended and/online learning tutorials.
• Willing to travel in Houston and surrounding areas

Tutors will be expected to:

• Create and implement individualized student support plans
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Manage student behavior in tutorial groups
