Required Licensure/Endorsement:
Valid Iowa teaching license with the appropriate endorsement.
Highly Qualified Candidates for the position will also possess:
Previous classroom teaching experience.
Experience in an urban school district.

Salary Information:
Beginning teacher salary $45,392.00
Newly hired Math Teachers are eligible for a $5000 hiring bonus spread over the first school year of employment.
DMPS does not have a cap on number of years experience considered in salary offers for career teachers.
Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.

- Enrollment in IPERS (Iowa Public Employee Retirement System)--a defined benefit plan
- Single and Family Health Insurance at no cost to the employee during the first plan year of employment (July 1 - June 30). Premium cost is $600/year after that.
- Employees can earn up to $600/year via participation in the Healthy U program.
