- Duties of head coaching position includes, but is not limited to:
- Knowledge of and adherence to school, conference, and safety rules
- Care/storage/inventory of equipment.
- Knowledge of sport/innovation.
- Teaching ability of fundamentals.
- Ability to motivate.
- Initiative/work ethic.
- Off season commitment to program improvement.
- Supervision of athletes.
- Communication/rapport with athletes.
- Team enthusiasm/effort/passion.
- Ability to work with other coaches.
- Aligns program to high school program
- Promotion of and creating interest in sport.
- Professional improvements (ie. clinics, etc.)
- Condition of athletes.
- Practice planning and efficiency.
- Proper handling of injuries.
- Attention to administrative details.
- Use/involvement of assistant coaches (if applies).
- Overall discipline of athletes.
- Communication with parents/athletes.
- Demonstrates values consistent with community expectations.
- Communication/cooperation with admin/faculty.
- Professional conduct/appearance.
- Overall team appearance/performance.
- Attention to safety (equip, players, weather, etc.)
- Team/player improvement during season.
- Monitor of grades/eligibility.
- Direction/leadership of program.
- Reports to the Middle School Athletic Director
