Segantii Capital Management is a global, multi-strategy investment management firm. The Firm was founded in Hong Kong in 2007 and has offices in Hong Kong, London, New York, and Dubai.
We are looking for an experienced candidate for our Operations team in our New York office. This role will support the growth of our operations in the region. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform trade bookings (mostly for OTC products, e.g. options, CDS, IRS), and ensure all details and risk are properly captured,
- Daily monitoring of risk and P&L movements, maintaining accuracy of trades and positions,
- Middle office: trade matching and affirmation, follow-up on breaks and queries, reconciliations, and settlements,
- Liaise with prime brokers, fund administrators and system vendors on trade-related issues and break resolution,
- Involvement in projects to continuously improve the firm's operational processes,
- Work closely with the Segantii TA/Operations teams globally.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate would have a good degree of experience within Trading and/or Operations; buy-side experience is preferable,
- Broad range of product, asset class and strategy knowledge (Equity, Credit, Macro, Repo - listed and otc.),
- Previous experience using an EMS and OMS and/or PMS would be a plus,
- Excellent functional knowledge of front-to-back processes related to trade capture, trade affirmation, lifecycle events, settlement, corporate actions, and P&L,
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external providers,
- Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise, effective multi-tasking and capability to work independently,
- Proactive mindset, with problem-solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail is key.
The estimated base salary range for this position is USD $100,000 to $200,000. Segantii Capital pays a total compensation package which includes base salary, discretionary bonus, and other benefits. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's level of experience and qualifications.
