Dog Walker Job Summary
Are you tired of being stuck at home, love being active outdoors, and spending time with dogs? We are looking for a new team member to add to the Pet Sitting of Indianapolis team! We have been providing outstanding pet care in the Indianapolis area for 9 years and are expanding our team of pet care professionals. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to supplement their income, loves being active outdoors, and is passionate about animals. You will be spending the majority of your time outdoors with clients’ pets providing dog walking services in a flexible role with an established, respected company. We are offering you the ability to take back your schedule and start getting back to doing the things you love – being outdoors with pets!
Dog Walker Responsibilities:
- Safely transport dogs to and from their homes
- Clean-up after and provide care for dogs, including cleaning up pet waste and messes
- Feed and water dogs based on the client’s instructions
- Conduct new client consultations, accurately describe pet care services, and explain the dog walking process to the client.
- Report and handle dog injuries or illnesses
- Respect clients’ homes and property while on-site
- Complete any additional services as requested by the client, such as watering plants, picking up the mail.
- Check and adhere to schedule
- Understands and adheres to safety protocol
Requirements:
- Loves animals and passionate in giving care
- Passionate about the outdoors
- Be at least 18 years old
- Pass a criminal background check
- Available to work 11 am - 2 pm, M-F (M/W/F or T/Th ok)
- Have a reliable vehicle, insurance, and valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills
- Have a smartphone

- Previous experience working with animals
