Qorvo's Microwave and RF Circuit Design Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Microwave and RF Circuit Graduate Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of our Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) and subsystem capabilities. As a Microwave Circuit and RF intern at Qorvo Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to apply and grow your expertise on leading III-V processes, MMIC design, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and RF test. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers to analyze, design, and optimize RF circuits and systems for a wide range of applications.
Responsibilities may include:
- Circuit Analysis: Conduct analysis of high-frequency analog and RF circuits, including amplifiers, filters and N-plexers to improve performance and efficiency.
- Focus on design and development of RF circuits including
- Widely tunable power amplifier in GaN and GaAs processes
- True time delay circuits
- Integrated MMIC Filters
- Di/Tri-plexer design
- Circuit Design and Optimization: Collaborate with RF engineers to design and optimize analog and RF circuits for specific RF applications, taking into consideration factors like noise, linearity, and power consumption.
- Simulation and Modeling: Utilize simulation tools (e.g., Sonnet, AWR, ADS, HFSS, etc.) to model and simulate RF circuits, ensuring accurate performance predictions.
- Prototyping and Testing: Assist in the prototyping and testing of RF circuits, including PCB layout and validation of Circuit Designs through measurements and testing.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate-level program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field with a focus on Microwave and RFCircuit Design.
- Strong knowledge of analog electronics principles and familiarity with RF circuit concepts.
- Proficiency in simulation tools and software commonly used in analog and RFCircuit Design.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design, circuit prototyping, and testing equipment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings and results effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
- Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
- Be able to enjoy working in fast paced work environment
