Job Description
MUST BE A US CITIZEN (ITAR REQUIREMENT). Support a Fortune 500 Aero-Defense Company as a Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer.
In this position, you will perform Circuit Board layouts using CAD software. The primary responsibilities of this position will include, but not limited to:
- Interpreting schematic diagrams and utilizing preliminary sketches, diagrams, and other engineering information to generate PCB designs for RF, Digital, Power, and Mixed Signal disciplines.
- Executing the detail design for Printed Circuit Boards and completion of documentation to IPC and department standards using PCB design CAD tool
- Working with the Producibility Engineer to facilitate design reviews as they relate to PCB layout and design for manufacturability.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience designing the layout of Printed Circuit Boards using Siemens (Mentor) Xpedition suite of tools.
- Must be familiar with applicable industry (IPC) design and end product performance standards for circuit card assemblies and printed wiring boards including IPC-6012, IPC-2221, J-STD-001, IPC-7351
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge and document descriptions of technical solutions for CCA and PCB technology products.
Desired Skills:
- In addition to Xpedition experience, familiarity with design tools for Printed Circuit Board and circuit card assembly technologies (EDM Library, Blueprint, VALOR NPI, etc.)
- Prior experience designing, and/or supporting aerospace/defense related products.
- Expertise in component selection for military and aerospace environments
- IPC CID or CID+ certification
