The role

Job Summary


As the Manager of Microsoft Marketing, the primary objective of this role is to provide strategic marketing guidance and support to our Microsoft partnership in North America. You will design and implement innovative marketing strategies that drive growth, awareness, and demand for our broad Microsoft portfolio to meet our revenue and pipeline targets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to understand SoftwareOne and Microsoft business objectives, and then design, implement, and measure marketing activities and associated programs that achieve those objectives. You will also collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including Microsoft, to unite currently siloed efforts and create a unified SoftwareOne North America and Microsoft brand narrative that delivers value to our customers. You will work with various SoftwareOne stakeholders, including global marketing, sales, alliances, and services, to develop marketing plans that create growth opportunities for SoftwareOne’s Microsoft business. 

 

Key success metrics will include overall Microsoft revenue and GP growth, net new customer acquisition, and expansion of Microsoft business within existing accounts.

 


Role & Responsibilities


 

  • Develop and execute a growth marketing plan that aligns with the North America’s GTM and goals.
  • Drive brand awareness for SoftwareOne’s Microsoft solutions and services through multiple channels and platforms.
  • Assist in the execution of co-marketing campaigns with partners to drive brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Coordinate and track marketing activities, including joint events, webinars, and content syndication.
  • Provide administrative support for partner marketing programs, including managing partner agreements, reconciling market development funding requests, and tracking partner performance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing operations team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of partner marketing metrics.
  • Maintain partner marketing documentation, including partner profiles, agreements, and program guidelines.
  • Monitor and track partner marketing activities, including campaign performance, lead generation, and ROI.
  • Provide SME-level knowledge of Microsoft’s and SoftwareOne’s GTM priorities and best practices.
  • Analyze industry information and market trends to identify opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage daily with Microsoft to maintain an open communication channel and ensure that all SoftwareOne and Microsoft Stakeholders are updated on any issues, initiatives, projects, meetings, or conferences.
  • Host Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to review SWO/Microsoft performance and discuss joint initiatives.

Success Criteria


  • Achieve overall Microsoft revenue and GP growth in North America.
  • Increase net new customer acquisition for Microsoft solutions.
  • Expand Microsoft business within existing accounts in North America.

Organizational Alignment


  • Develop and execute a growth marketing plan aligned with North America's GTM strategy and goals.
  • Coordinate and track marketing activities to ensure alignment with joint initiatives and brand narratives.
  • Engage daily with Microsoft to maintain open communication channels and ensure alignment on initiatives and priorities.

What we need to see from you

What you offer


 

  • 5+ years of experience focused on Microsoft marketing
  • Experience in large, global B2B technology, software and/or services companies
  • Results-driven and customer-focused team player that understands what is required to gain preference and win in the marketplace.
  • Ability to define marketing objectives, execute integrated campaigns, and track and evaluate results.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including cloud, security, productivity, and collaboration tools
  • Experience in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, email, social media, content, and web analytics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Creative, analytical, and strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and growth
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Target compensation for this role will be $90-120k (mix of base salary and bonus) and will be determined based on candidate qualifications, experience, and location.
