Job Description:
Job Summary: The Microsoft Licensing Specialist will be responsible for evaluating a customer’s current Microsoft license position and making recommendations to enable correct licenses to be applied to meet both the sales objectives of Fusion Connect and the business needs of the customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft products and licensing, understand how those licenses are transacted and deployed, while also being able to communicate effectively with customers working either as a team or independently. The Microsoft Licensing Specialist will work closely with the Sales and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure that customers are positioned for success with their Microsoft licensing needs.
Key Responsibilities (Included, but not limited to):
  • Play a critical role in working with the sales team to evaluate a customer’s Microsoft license position across the stack and make recommendations of the correct licensing approach to meet a specific customers needs.
  • Communicate licensing approach effectively with customers while supporting their transition to a more optimal licensing position.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure that license design aligns to Fusion Connect UCaaS model while also being a leading internal and external advocate for AI based technologies.
  • Work closely with the Microsoft alliance manager to stay up-to-date with Microsoft licensing policies and changes, advise on training needs and help with content delivery.
  • Provide training to Customers & Sales on Microsoft licensing policies and best practices.
  • Produce Statements of Work (SOWs) for project proposals, detailing the scope, timeline, and budget for contact center implementations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or commensurate experience).
  • 3 - 5 years experience in Microsoft licensing.
  • Experience with Lighthouse and other Microsoft tools is a must.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing policies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Licensing certifications are strongly preferred.
