Job Description:
MITRE's Enterprise Design, Discovery & AI Department is seeking a team member who is passionate about search and artificial intelligence (AI) to help us revolutionize knowledge reuse within MITRE. This person will work closely with the business to understand search/information needs. They will then translate those needs into easy-to-use solutions for our enterprise users.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Architect/AI Specialist to lead our technical team in designing, developing, and implementing advanced AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, and will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing applications on the Azure platform.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and implement scalable, high availability applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and maintain Azure cloud systems, CI/CD pipeline, and scripts.
- Design and implement Azure infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in the adoption of cloud technologies.
- Monitor and manage Azure resources and services to ensure optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Create and maintain documentation of Azure architecture and operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 5 years of industry experience.
- Proven architecture experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certification is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Azure Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Azure CLI.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage.
- Understanding of network concepts including VNET, subnet, NSG, VPN, ExpressRoute, and firewall.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
