Microelectronic Wire Bonder

CMT maintains a close relationship with the California Institute of Technology.

Position Summary:

Role: CMT seeks a Microelectronic Wire Bonder that is passionate in RF and Microwave circuitry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble Microelectronic components and parts according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Inspect and test assembled products for quality and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify process improvements and optimize assembly procedures.
  • Verifies quality of finished product.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Always adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure production goals are met.
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts under microscope.
  • Able to problem-solving using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship REQUIRED
  • Wire bonding experience REQUIRED.
  • Prior assembly experience REQUIRED.
  • Experience with soldering PREFFERED.
  • 2 years of experience in microelectronic assembly or a related field.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Familiarity with a variety of microelectronic components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, and transistors.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrates all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
