Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of standard microbiological tests, such as microbial compendia tests and test method qualifications: routine testing such as air sampling, surface testing, particulate monitoring, endotoxin, growth promotion, membrane filtration, and microbial identifications according to SOPs
- Analyze raw materials, and in-process materials, release test samples, conduct microbiological sampling and testing of finished product per quality program standards.
- Record findings and prepare technical reports and other documents that present testing results.
- Prepare, clean, disinfect, and/or sterilize instruments, materials, products and/or supplies.
- Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring its proper operation and calibration.
- Handle investigation and corrective actions for any deviation from acceptable results
- Compose micro reports, summaries, and certificates of analysis as required.
- Analyze results and develop trend reports as needed.
- Coordinate and assign sampling sites throughout the facility.
- Develop and conduct training of quality control technicians for the collection of sampling.
- When the results are received take the appropriate action as required by the results
- Handle investigations and corrective actions for any deviations from acceptable results
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of prior laboratory experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry required
- Experience in GMP food production, pharmaceutical and/or dietary supplement facility a plus
- Experience in GLP a plus
- Ability to work in high-stress and demanding work environment.
- Must have strong prioritization and analytical skills.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 17025 experience a plus).
- Food Safety/SQF/FSMA/HACCP certifications a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and addresses problems, meet deadlines, and stay within cost projections.
Compensation:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00
