Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at Waccamaw Center for Mental Health, 164 Waccamaw Medical Park Drive, Conway, SC 29526
For MHP Student Loan Repayment:
This position MAY be eligible for SCDMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.

Please note that this position requires a State of South Carolina Licensed Clinician.
Under limited supervision, this position will serve as the Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy Supervisor providing program oversight and direct supervision to the staff of the MDFT program, and intensive community-based services.
This position will evaluate and monitor staff performance, productivity and quality of work to ensure policy and program standards are met, and goals achieved. The MDFT program will provide services in Horry County, but staff is available to provide treatment to all clients and families of the Waccamaw Center for Mental Health.
Provides direct clinical supervision to staff in an individual and group setting and observe staff in a clinical setting to improve the quality of counseling skills and address clinical concerns related to adults, children and their families.
Provides training to staff on clinical and administrative policies and procedures while also providing day to day management of foresight of the MDFT program.
Oversees and monitors Out of Placement (OOHP) collaborating with local community partners regarding placement children's mental health issues to Waccamaw Center Mental Health, Department Juvenile Justice, Department Social Services and Family Courts.
Maintains documentation of charts and other records in accordance with State, Federal, Local, SCDMH, WCMH, Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and CARF standards.
Supplying advance mental health service requiring specialized diagnostic and treatment intervention skills to include assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention and other approved services to children, adolescents and their families in an intensive family service program.
Intensive in-home services to children and families based on identified needs are delivered and maintaining annualized patient care hours of at least 162 hours.
A variety of coordination and consultation services with local and community agencies and organizations, and other human service providers, Department of Mental Health Staff to assist patients in maximizing recovery efforts are provided by this program and supervisor.
Attendance at staff, clinical trainings and CAF meetings are a requirement of this position.
Excellent therapeutic skills in working with children, adolescents and families is a must.
The ability to communicate well with others and foster relationships is a requirement.
Knowledge of and ability to assess for treatment needs, develop effective treatment plans, and provide effective and efficient individual, group and family therapies, crisis intervention and case management services are required in this postion.
Must have the ability to work independently and under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator. Receives monthly supervision as well as participation with Employee Performance Management System on an annual basis.
Travel is required and state vehicle is provided.
Standing, sitting and light lifting.
May perform other duties assigned by CAP Coordinator, Program Coordinator and/or Center Executive Director.
Basic working knowledge of computers, computer applications/programs and general office equipment such as telephones, fax, copy and scanner machines.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: Master's Degree in Guidance, counseling or the social sciences and 3 years' experience in a clinical counseling program. License clinician required.

Must be able to meet DMH Credentialing Requirements - this includes graduate coursework showing the following:
Psychopathology Course
Psychopathology Diagnostic Course
Clinical Assessment - Practice with Family Therapy (DSM) - or other assessment coursework
Ethics Course - related medical profession
