Form of work- Provides effective leadership to team/ work group.
- Responsible for the customization, maintenance and management of the Medical Center and Clinic’s planning, reporting and cost accounting systems and support to UVA Community Health.
- Responsible for benchmarking and surveys for the Medical Center and Clinics and coordination of benchmarking and survey activities for UVA Health.
- Provides UVA Medical Center and clinic’s interface to the Medical Center’s/Health System’s accounting functions and supports close process, variance analysis and other Medical Center financial management needs.
- Interfaces with other Health System and Medical Center support services, services and service lines as required.

- Partners with medical center leadership to develop strategies and tactics for financial performance improvement.
- Assists in the skills and competency development of junior Decision Support team members.
- Willingly adapts to organizational change and models commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Develops and delivers professional presentations to all levels of leadership and organization governance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience: 1 year's progressively more responsible experience required. Healthcare financial management, accounting, cost accounting, StrataJazz; Anaplan, Peoplesoft preferred
Licensure: None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
