EPIC Clinical Manager- Prior Nurse
Base + Bonus: $130-145K + Bonus
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
- Former nurse ideally that has gotten into the integration of systems
- Knows the clinical side and knows the HC workflow of patient experience - intake to billing
- Understands the client pain
- API's ability to talk the healthcare language
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience as a product manager for technical products in health tech industry with history of doing system integrations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as EPIC, Cerner, AthenaHealth etc. This candidate should be familiar with industry leading integration tools and excited about designing the next generation of the same. The person in this role will report VP of Product Management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Meet with customers, partners to understand market requirements, develop business proposals, business cases and present options for budget approvals.
- Define product specifications, process flows and support customers and professional service teams responsible for integrating with electronic medical systems, insurance systems, patient access platforms, health data and analytics.
- Define configuration tools for authenticating, invoking, and consuming the responses from external APIs.
- Define the shape and behavior
- Create written descriptions of the user experience, data model, and business logic changes required to implement enhancements.
- Test new features and report issues that need to be addressed.
- Assist early customers with the implementation process.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience in product management
- Demonstrated deep Agile product management principles and technical savvy.
- Experience with healthcare data and interoperability standards (EDI, FHIR, HL7, etc.) and Electronic health Records systems.
- Ability to maintain strong customer relations and provide product support.
- Demonstrated experience training internal departments on new product features.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into their needs and definition of success.
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
- Demonstrated keen attention to details.
- Natural tendency to be curious, positive & creative.
- Ability to work under pressure and to maintain an aggressive schedule.
- Must be able to effectively work in a virtual work environment.
Key Relationships:
- Directly supervised by the Vice President of Product Management.
