Position Overview
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to data entry of provider credentials information, assisting with collection and update of program integrity documents as well as other documents required to meet regulatory requirements.Join us this summer (June – August) for a highly interactive and engaging internship experience where you get to work alongside various departments to develop your skills and learn more about the health insurance and healthcare industry.

Interns will also participate in workshops, activities and other events organized by MetroPlusHealth
*Note: This is a paid internship program. Prospective interns must be current students attending an accredited College or University and must be 18 years or older to be considered.
- Data entry provider information in the credentialing and other pertinent databases.
- Combine, review and upload provider credentials file into the OnBase file repository.
- Outreach, collect and update required documents such as Annual Medicaid Certification, Wage Parity and Annual OMIG SADC certification into CACTUS.
- Generate expired provider license reports, verify the providers’ license information, and update CACTUS system.
- Performs other related tasks as directed by the VP Provider Network Operations & Credentialing Director.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Good computer skills and able to work with MS Office
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and multi-task in a changing healthcare environment.
