Metal Fabricator - Windows And Doors

We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team in Claymont, Delaware! AWR Commercial Window Company specializes in the repair and restoration of metal and wood Windows and Doors. We provide repair, preservation, and restoration services to residential, commercial, municipal, churches, cathedrals, historic, and landmark buildings throughout the United States.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7 AM Start

Pay Range: Dependent on experience.
Metal Fabricator General Accountabilities:

• Properly perform the set-up and layout process based on the project drawings

• Properly use and maintain hand tools and power tools to trim, cut, and fit components into the final product. 

• Provide accurate records and measurements.  

• Weld and solder pieces together accurately. 

• Align components and connect them with bolts and screws

• Follows OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to use of hazardous chemicals; uses proper ventilation.

• Thoroughly cleans area, supplies and equipment when project is completed. 

•Following and confirming AWR’s standard operating procedures are being met. 

•Maintain accurate records of projects and supplies.

•Inspect all work products to ensure quality throughout the process.

•Communicate with management in a timely manner.

•Ensure clean and safe storage of all equipment.

•Follows company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

•Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

 

•Minimum of 5 years of experience and/or certificate in fabrication and welding.

•Must have own required tools; welding helmet, 4-inch grinder, clamps, screw drivers, wrenches, plyers, hammer, etc.

•Properly performing MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on metal and wood safely. 

•Ability to stand on feet 8-10 hours per day, maintain balance, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat frequently. 

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

• Able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime when needed. 

•Require current driver’s license.

•Must be able to work in the United States.

•Must be able to travel when needed.
