Description:
The clinic LPN assists the Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician with assessments and treatments of patients visiting the clinic. Is able to perform telephone triage under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician by asking appropriate medical questions and gathering pertinent health information. Assists in performing exams and procedures, completing history and symptoms assessment, as required under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician. This may include vital signs, allergies, height and weight and medication history. Assists in providing patient education regarding medications, diet, disease process, disease management, etc.
Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
CPR (BLS) Certification required.
Licensed Practical Nurse through the Louisiana State Board

Excellent Communication Skills verbal and written.
Teamwork and Team Player oriented
Decision making skills- ability to deliver quick response with ultimate decision-making skill.
Detail oriented- A single medication/diagnosis mistake can cause severe risk of the life of a patient.
Critical Thinking Skills- Self-sufficient and adaptive to changes and situations.
Computer Skills- Ability to use EMR, Computer programs etc.
Organizational & Time Management skilled
