MEP PROJECT MANAGER LEVEL 4POSITION SUMMARYMetcon is a commercial general contractor that specializes in construction management, negotiated, design-build and select hard-bid projects. An MEP Project Manager Level 4 is to lead, direct and oversee the safe and effective daily MEP operation of a single project greater than $50M or multiple projects with a cumulative value greater than $50M simultaneously. They will serve as an important point of contact for project buyout, logistics, risk management, communications, planning, contracts, and reporting. Ability to execute project objectives resulting in “on time” and within budget. Ability to lead, monitor, and develop junior roles within the team. Responsibilities begin from the preconstruction, start of construction through close-out, commissioning, and warranty. Level is determined by performance, experience, project complexity, size, and value. Ensure project goals, objectives and initiatives are met in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Metcon. Approximate time in role is greater than 10 yrs. We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager 4 that has Casino and Hospitality Experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects within the construction industry.Essential Functions:•MEP Project Management•Coordination•Process and Procedures•Quality Control/Safety•Coordination (Scheduling/Logistics) •Communication/ Documentation Logistics•Financials (Sage, Billing, Forecasting)•Preconstruction/CloseoutJob Duties & Responsibilities: •Responsible to accurately manage all aspects of MEP cost and control for job budget setup and reporting. This includes the timely management of Accounts Payable/Receivable, Change Management, fair and reasonable cost negotiations.•Responsible for leading a single project to implement and maintain a clean and safe work site, and to motivate performance to the highest efficiency to exceed project requirements, quality control, and productivity. Work with Project Engineer and Superintendent on high level reporting of cost and profitability.•Effectively manage MEP project scopes of work, schedules, material procurement, subcontractors, resources, and project documentation.•Collaborate with Executive Leadership to develop a vision/strategy/direction for the future of the division. Setting clear and attainable goals for operations teams and holding each team member accountable. Responsible for building high performing teams through best practices in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, training/development, providing feedback through evaluations of direct reports and employee engagement. Develop future leaders to ensure there is bench strength and a succession plan. Collaborate with other managers to develop/refine/maintain standard operating procedures.•Lead the project planning and set up during the MEP preconstruction phase, including constructability, site logistics, schedule development and management, estimating, scopes of work, subcontractor prequalification/bid solicitation, and scope reviews. Understand and effectively manage owner expectations during the preconstruction phase.•Coordinate and support the development of Metcon’s processes with the Project team by ensuring all MEP trade contractors and team staff actively participate.•Assist in Business Development pursuits through analyzing field specific aspects of opportunities, presentations, and managing client relationships. Promote and support good internal and external relationships throughout all divisions and departments of Metcon. Engage in and promote customer and community related activities.•Ensure effective communication and coordination between various teams involved in MEP projects.Minimum Qualifications & Training: •Construction Management degree preferred.•10 years of construction project management experience specifically in MEP projects.•Casino and Hospitality experience a must.•Travel to and from the office to the project site is required, must have a valid Driver’s License.Computer Skills:•Word•Excel•Outlook•P6•Procore•BlueBeamTechnical Skills:•Plan & Specification Reading•BIM Coordination•Construction Technology
